What it does
Give it your own or a public photo and it tells you where it was most likely taken, at country, region, city or district level (never finer than about 1 km), with an evidence-capped radius. It reads the metadata (GPS, capture time, camera model, edit traces), asks your model to list only what is visible (scripts, signs, plate formats, driving side, vegetation, shadows), resolves text clues against reference tables, checks whether the shadows fit the sun at the capture time, and ranks hypotheses that each point to their evidence. It can also compare a claimed country with what the photo shows, and report what your own photo leaks before you post it. No third-party service is contacted; the photo is processed inside the call and never stored. The server rounds every location it returns (never street level), removes names with a title and names your model marks as names, plus street names and house numbers, from its output (a bare name such as 'Ayse Kaya' cannot be told from a place by pattern), and does not identify people. It declines requests it recognises as attempts to find where a person lives, works or is (keyword screening, not exhaustive). You declare whether the photo is yours or public; the declaration is not verified and is not legally binding. Your model is asked to check for people, children and private homes, and the agent stops if any is found; that check is made by your model and is advisory. Out of scope: reverse image search, map, satellite and street-view matching, street, building and camera position level, camera heading, and video files. Accepts Turkish prompts, notes and sign text; the report is available in Turkish. Preliminary research, not evidence: not a basis for legal, security, insurance or HR decisions. Where was this photo taken? Metadata, visible clues and sun angle, with an evidence-capped radius, a reasoning ledger and privacy limits.
Example prompts
- Where was this photo taken? It is my own travel photo.
- Does this picture of mine leak my location before I post it?
- This public press photo claims to be from Turkey. Is that plausible at country level?
