You supply the contract text and your own clause playbook; it reads them and reports which of your standard clauses appear, quoting the span and its position so a lawyer reads the clause rather than a label — and which matched nothing, together with the phrases it looked for and how much text it searched. NOT LEGAL ADVICE. It reports what the supplied text says and what it departs from. It does not advise whether to sign and states no legal conclusion the text does not contain. IT CARRIES NO RISK SCORE, AND THAT IS THE PRODUCT. The tools this consolidates computed an overall contractual risk out of 100 by multiplying a per-category weight by a severity multiplier of 0.4 / 0.7 / 1, then banded the result at 50 and 20. Nothing measured chose any of those numbers, and the output is what a legal team would read before accepting a liability. A clause capping your recovery at three months of fees is a FACT about your exposure; 68/100 is arithmetic over opinions. TWO DISTINCTIONS CARRY THE WHOLE REVIEW. `not_found` is a statement about the SEARCH, never about the agreement: a clause may be written in words your playbook does not list, may sit in an annex nobody pasted, or may genuinely be absent — three different actions for a reviewer — so a miss reports the phrases looked for and the characters read, and never reads as "safe". And `present` is not approval: it says a phrase appears, which is exactly why the span is quoted. THE PLAYBOOK IS YOURS. What counts as a required clause is written in your standards, not in this agent. A small default vocabulary ships so it works cold, and every report names which one produced the reading — a miss against a vocabulary that is not yours is a fact about the vocabulary, not about the contract.
